MTSi Partners with Cove to Lower the Cost of Data Protection
This month, MTSi has partnered with Cove Data Protection to offer customers a cloud-based backup solution that does not require an appliance or the purchase of on-site backup software and storage. This new solution offers unlimited storage for servers, desktops, locally stored documents, and M365 in 30 data centers worldwide. Because pricing is fixed per device and does not require any additional hardware or software, this service is a low-cost solution to disaster recovery and ransomware protection that can be implemented quickly and inexpensively.
Existing MTSi cloud backup customers will receive a new plan that includes:
- Per device pricing with unlimited storage
- 365-day retention for all backups
- Bi-weekly recovery testing to validate that server backups are recoverable
Servers (Virtual Machines and Physical Servers)
Server backup is available for Windows and Linux and can backup both virtual machines and physical servers. These daily backups can include the following:
- Files and Folders
- System State
- Network Shares
- SQL Server
- Exchange Server

Workstations
Workstation backups are ideal for customers who have business-critical data on their local computers. The backup size is unlimited, so all data on your device is backed up on your schedule. Workstation backup also contains system state which allows for full restore of the device to a new machine. The service is available for Windows, Linux and macOS.
Documents
Document backup is an inexpensive option that targets user created documents. They can be in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Outlook, Visio, Open Office and other programs that are stored locally on a user’s computer. The backup can be run twice per day with 28-day retention. The system finds files located anywhere on the system and provides unlimited storage. For customers without a server or access to cloud storage such as OneDrive, this option provides a reliable backup solution that allows the user to restore their own files if needed. This solution is an excellent tool for executives who travel and keep documents on their local machine to ensure they have access when they are off the network.
M365
Cove Data Protection for Microsoft 365 is designed to help you protect Microsoft 365 users from data loss. Cove for Microsoft 365 helps you retain and restore Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams data.
With M365 back up, your SharePoint and OneDrive data is backed up four times per day and Exchange and teams can be protected up to six times per day. The system can also recover Teams members, Exchange contacts, permissions and settings. The system also avoids backing up suspicious files to avoid restoring malware to your M365 environment.
